Secret Government Timber Sales, No Way!

When the BLM uses taxpayer dollars to plan controversial public lands logging projects, like the Pickett West native forest timber sale, you have a right to know what they are up to. Transparent public lands management is at the heart of how government is supposed to function in our Democracy.

So when the Medford BLM responds to requests for public timber sale documents by redacting (blacking out) entire pages, what they are effectively doing is pulling a veil of secrecy over the decisions and issues surrounding management of your forests.

We believe in putting the "public" in public lands management, so KS Wild is filing a legal challenge to the BLM's refusal to conduct business in an open and transparent fashion.
