Isaak Oliansky, Development Manager
Isaak is thrilled to be joining KS Wild as a Development Manager. Isaak grew up on the edge of Portland’s Forest Park, perennially munching on salmonberries. He graduated with a BA in Philosophy from the University of Oregon, after which he moved back to his hometown to directly support the unhoused community as a social worker. At some point, he got burnt out and wandered off to Moab, Utah to learn how to build straw bale homes, after which he took a stab at being an itinerant carpenter. His wanderings eventually took him to Southern Oregon, where he happily settled and proudly served as the Executive Director of the Ashland Emergency Food Bank.
He has now lived for 3 years with his wife, daughter, and dog in the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, on Shasta, Klamath, and Modoc land. He is in the process of completing a 3 year pre-Rabbinical program studying Earth-Based Judaism, and is still waffling on applying for Rabbinical school. In his free time, Isaak has worked hard to discover every morel mushroom patch and gravel bike route in eastern Jackson county. Isaak looks forward to connecting deeply with KS Wild’s donors and supporters and is available to talk about KS Wild’s programming with the community anytime.
