He will lead you through a beautifully in tact forested ecosystem close to the Upper Rogue River where the wildflowers will be blooming and the wildlife will be awakening.
Join us for a natural history walk while we discuss the functions and threats to floodplains, water quality concerns in Little Butte Creek & the Rogue River, and we will do some basic birding and botanizing. This popular hike is an out-and-back route to the Boundary Springs, tucked away in the northern part of Crater Lake National Park, where waters of the Rogue River bursts forth from volcanic soils. Enjoy this moderate 5-mile round-trip hike where the Rogue River feels more like a creek. This is a beautiful trail with a couple of cascading waterfalls and a lush riparian zone set against the backdrop of an intact post-fire forest.

This moderately strenuous hike will be a day-long affair from the Rogue Valley and will include a 6-7 mile loop through the lake basin and up to Mt. Elijah. The trail wanders through towering old-growth forests and wildflower meadows at Bigelow Lakes.
Visit hidden springs and beaver dams along Bear Creek in Phoenix. We will walk on the flat paved Greenway from Blue Heron Park to Northridge Terrace and back. 2.5 miles round trip.
